Board Member Tony Roman collaborated with Esport Hub Ph for the 2-weeks long first major mobile legends tournament the province. Dubbed Roman Reigns Bataan Mobile Legends Tournament, it attracted 32 teams across the province with BCD Esports of Pilar town emerging as champion during the final stage of the event held on Saturday at Vista Mall Bataan.
The tournament is in partnership with Collegiate Center for E Sports, BPSU, and Vista Mall Bataan. Roman, a lawyer, said E sports is now a thriving industry offering plenty of job opportunities. He said it is time that the province give attention to the industry to harness its economic potential. He announced that there are currently developmental gaming courses offered at BPSU. Roman still advised that online gaming should be done in moderation and must not distract studies.
Vice Gov. Cris Garcia joined Roman in the program on Saturday. Bataan Peninsula State University Pres. Ruby Matibag and Rep. Abet Garcia’s chief of staff Geoff Loyola also attended.
